Lady Gaga Confirms Engagement To Christian Carino In Emotional Speech
Mother Monster is engaged, y'all.
Lady Gaga is ready to marry the night and her main squeeze.
During an emotional speech at Elle's 25th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration, Lady Gaga thanked her man Christian Carino and referred to him as her fiancé during a touching speech.
The couple began dating back in February 2017 after being spotted at a Kings of Leon concert. Rumors have been swirling for the past month about Gaga and Carino's possible engagement, but no one has officially confirmed it until now.
"Christian is a good, grounding force and understands her career. She’s in a great place now," a source told PEOPLE.
From the beginning, Gaga and Carino have kept a relatively low profile, although they haven't been shy to publicly support one another. Carino was right by Gaga’s side during rehearsals for her memorable Super Bowl LI Halftime show performance in 2017.
"When I went backstage, Christian was by the stairs making sure I was okay,” Gaga stated in an interview with New York Post's Page Six. "The best part about being in love with someone is having them there to catch you if you fall."
The 31-year-old pop star was previously engaged to Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney, but the former couple broke off their engagement in July 2016 — a little over a year after Kinney’s proposal on Valentine's Day in 2015.
Clearly, Mother Monster has finally found the one, and she's ready to tie the knot. Congrats to the happy couple!
