Lady Gaga Is Performing At The Grammys (Again), So Let's Look Back At All Her Performances
The 'A Star Is Born' actress lives for the applause, applause, applause.
Ladies and gents, gather 'round and give Lady Gaga a big round of applause, applause, applause. For the fifth time in a row, the songstress will take the stage to give yet another legendary performance at the Grammys.
The six-time Grammy-winner clinched five nominations this year, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year for "Shallow" from A Star is Born, and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Where Do You Think You're Goin'?," a track from her latest album, Joanne.
Travis Scott, Dua Lipa, St. Vincent, Mark Ronson, Yolanda Adams, Fantasia, Andra Day, and Chloe x Halle are also set to perform.
A few weeks back, the Recording Academy announced the lineup, which also includes Diana Ross, H.E.R., Brandi Carlile, Kacey Musgraves, Janelle Monae, Cardi B, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, and Dan + Shay. WOW! From the sound of it, the 61st Grammy Awards — which, by the way, will be hosted by the legendary Alicia Keys — might just make up for Maroon 5's painfully lackluster Super Bowl halftime show alongside Travis Scott and Big Boi.
No word yet on what songs Gaga will include in her set, but Oscar-nominated "Shallow" is a shoo-in. Unfortunately, that performance probably wouldn't include Bradley Cooper, considering the actor-director is set to attend London's BAFTA Awards the same day. Maybe he'll appear via hologram?
We also predict Gaga will go full ally and perform a medley of A Star Is Born hits like "Why Did You Do That?" and "Always Remember Us This Way."
While we speculate, let's look back at her Grammy performances throughout the years.
"Poker Face" / "Speechless" / "Your Song" (with Elton John) at the 2010 Grammys
Gaga made her Grammys debut with a show-stopping performance of her biggest The Fame and The Fame Monster hits. She wrapped it up with a soulful rendition of "Your Song" with Elton John himself! Talk about iconic.
"Born This Way" at the 2011 Grammys
Remember that year she cocooned herself inside a humungous egg? It was for this performance, and it was powerful.
"Cheek to Cheek" (with Tony Bennett) at the 2015 Grammys
Gaga kept it low-key in 2015 when she performed "Cheek to Cheek" with Tony Bennett. It's a track from their collaborative album of the same name.
David Bowie tribute at the 2016 Grammys
The songstress transformed herself into Lady Stardust when she performed a tribute to Bowie in 2016. She included a slate of the legend's most iconic songs like "Space Oddity," "Changes," and "Ziggy Stardust."
"Moth into Flame" (with Metallica) at the 2017 Grammys
Yep, Gaga can do metal, too! Although her live performance with Metallica was rife with technical difficulties, she gave it her all. This video demonstrates how it should have sounded.
"Joanne" / "Million Reasons" (with Mark Ronson) at the 2018 Grammys
Her most heartfelt Grammys performance happened just last year, when she performed a mashup of "Joanne" and "Million Reasons." In between songs, she referenced the "Time's Up" movement to show support.
